How to install aftermarket wheel roundels

I just got my new Forgestar CF5s and the wheel roundel is a bit different than the OEM setup. It has a band of rubber around it to keep it in place. I've been using all of my strength trying to get it on to no avail. Anyone have any experience with this type of roundel?

Try a little liquid soap.
