Grimmy, you are so funny. You have no dime but you passed the free maintenance from BMW and spend a fortune to DIY maintain.

I know, that first service is costing over 2k ..but i think it is becoming more of a game now, so don't mind the cost. In the long run can save costs..
Now have to include extra costs of addiction -once i find out how to put oil in, I need to find which is the best oil

(In case anyone wants to know, i went with mobil 0w40 hong goods from double 8 in SSP @530 /4l *2)

Mind you bro
There are so many fakes out in our great motherland
The retail price at gas station for this is arround ¥160/L.
If anyone can selling that is 1/3 the market price, you should know why

Pakelo is a good engine oil. Better than what BMW HK uses. Give it a try.

Oh come on bro
Oil cost no more than a full tank fuel.
Put it another way, we guys drive car @ 600K~more.
Woun't you risk the most importance--lubrication by adding suspicious oil buy from a .net agency, would you?
I rather buy from gas station or a reliable shop.

Yeah net have a lot of fakes and outright frauds if you're not careful..
I hear a lot about fake oil, but i don't know where it would show up, the net alot i think, i would be interested to know
When i was shopping around for oil locally, i went to alot of shops, picked the local shop with history..
Wing Sung by Bmw TKW is selling it mobil 0w40 for 550 (gas station 800), i randomly asked one shop has big storefront but no customers, about 30meters away -490! too cheap i did not buy..

Those ones online are US editions, even then the profit margin is small .. it could be fake, but i wonder how they have hundreds of feedback already and no one detected anything, maybe Chinese consumers still can't tell ..
Or its possible its still new, just repackaged cheaper oil..

Hope I won't be foolish enough to go for it

No need, Mobil 15/40 is 196/4L - nearly as cheap! and and from gas station too!

No matter how high gas station gas you happily pay, but when i see the price difference is so large with gas station /local hong goods for lube, i cannot feel good about buying from gas station .. perhaps perfect timing someone introduce me to 'red' gas from motherland

In Hong Kong, I am thinking about going with Mobil1 5W-40 or even 5W-50 if they have it. Just too hot here.

On maybe I should try the Motul 300V 5W-50
