2nd gear shift 6MT

Forgive me if this is already a post on here, but I did a search and could not find what I was looking for. Anyway, I am curious if anyone else who has a 6MT feels that shifting into 2nd gear is significantly harder than any other. Especially if you take it to just before redline in first and shift into 2nd. It's almost as much tension as putting it in reverse.

Definitely been discussed here in many threads, but you're probably noticing the clutch delay valve (CDV). There is plenty of information here about it, and how to remove it.

the clutch delay valve only affects how the clutch engages not disengages; the 1-2 shift is not as smooth at the rest of the gears because there is the largest rpm change between gears so it is harder to time right, making the synchro(s) work harder.

+1. This has been the case with every one of the 15 or so MT cars I've owned. And if you do the 1~2 shift at lower rpms (below 3,500), it will be much easier.

Thanks guys. I figured it had been posted on here before, but I was having trouble finding the posts. It was similar to the 6MT in my Speed6 as well, but it seems to be a little worse. It is manageable, it just takes some extra effort to make sure it engages all of the way.
