Well, one of the top BMW dealerships in the east coast is JMK BMW in northern Jersey. i think ull like it. everyone there is top notch, eps the service department. I got my car there from a guy named Mark Carvalho, very nice guy, very low pressure. Their techs are great also, every time ive taken my car there for service they always fix it the first time and always do a nice clean professional job

I've talked to Chris as JMK previously. I had wanted an x3 before and chatted with him a few times. He seemed calm and knew his stuff. Anyone in particular you'd like to recommend?

Alpine6speed (Ryan) from this board. He works at Flemington BMW and is a car enthusiast as well as a BMW CA. Flemington dealerships are all awesome and their BMW dealership is incredible. I really wish I knew Ryan before I started working with and got stuck with the CA I have now.

One of the most experienced people in E.D. in the area is Ricki at DiFeo.

Just based on the number of cars I´ve gotten...

Seriously, she is the best and also the most no nonsense for pricing.

If you want an intro to her, send me a PM.

I got my car from Difeo. I didn't go through ED though. Their service was good. I did have a problem with them but everything was resolved smoothly. Their service department is also good. I got a loaner for a scheduled maintance oil change.

I went to JMK for a software update once and their service department is good. They provided me with a loaner even though I didn't buy my car there.

Howard Schulman @ Habberstand BMW in Long Island, NY. I did my first ED with him for my 335i. He made it painless.

I think that it is important you get an experienced person in European Delivery. That is why I recommended Ricki at DiFeo earlier in the thread.

But whomever you choose, make sure they have done tons of European Deliveries. Experience counts.

I'll second Jspira's recommendation for Ricki. I'm doing a US delivery for an E90 335i and dealing with her was painless and pleasant. Deal was no nonsense, and she's knowledgeable about things most other CA's are clueless about, MSD program, ED, etc.

Car ordered 3/14, order changed 3/20, production started 3/26, on a boat 4/11

If you buy your car out of state -- do the local dealerships give you any trouble when you take your car in for service there??

Nope!!!

I have my cars from Florida serviced in NJ and cars from NJ serviced in Florida all the time without any issues.

Soon will be having a car that was ED from Passport BMW in MD that will see most of its service done in Colorado...

So yeah in summary... no problems!

I even get loaners too... just keep a good relationship with the dealer and you will be fine

Not trouble but some dealers won´t provide a loaner.
