Anyone with a BMW Performance Exhaust

Still contemplating on an exhaust system for my car. I have been considering both the AE and BMW Performance. I have heard many people are happy with the AE but curious to know some feedback on the BMW Performance. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

In Calgary unfortunately. Thanks for the info though. I think this is the route I'm going to go. They have them on clearance at the dealer. They are claiming 35% off. Can you please tell me how much you paid?

I'm going to be getting the Performance Exhaust very shortly. Waiting for my paycheck to come in, and then I've gotta haggle my local dealer on price/fees. If I'll else fails I'll threaten to order from Tischer and have it installed at my local indie shop.

I was skeptical on the PE and I listed it on sale to buy a Vanguard... I ended up getting bored today and just installed it for the heck of it and let me tell you I don't regret it at all!! It sounds friggen SWEEEEEEEET!

BMW PE

Got the BMW Performance Exhaust on my just delivered 335ix , sounds great and I can't wait for the break in so I can really hear it. They installed it here at the port depot. Have to cut off the stock muffler at the connecting pipes and slip on the PE.
Looked into the price of the exhaust and it is on special at tischer for $1150+ shipping (big piece) plus you have to cut your pipes. They get $1940 when you build your car but it's in the warranty.

The PE exhaust was one of my favorite mods. It sounds ridiculous at high revs....and just right cruising around town.

I have the PE on my N55 E92 and it sounds simply orgasmic. Unfortunately it doesn't sound as nice for the N54 - still sounds good, but once you hear it on the N55 you'll be like "wow that sounds so much better" and wish you had something else.

Vanguard and AE are really sweet ... look into those.

P.S. Might want to change the slogan in your sig soon :

Im looking at getting it port installed. But want to know if there is any drone while cruising around town say around 2,500 rpm. I had an Audi S4 that I modded and the exhaust rocked but when your tired in traffic and wanted to listen to the stereo that damn drone would kick in. CJ421 has a nice clip on Youtube and it sounds great but he never wound it out... Would love to hear the scream.

Does anyone know how it compares to the IS exhaust. I drove one and its great but a bit too much for me personally.

Thanks

I've got one on e91 328xi auto. Initial impression: Sounds louder than stock 335i with golf tee. Actually provides burble with part throttle deceleration. Just right for a manual car and almost too loud for an auto car unless you use paddle shifters mostly. Automatic car exhausts systems require a really low tone imho to be acceptable or V8. Trying to get away from the "just modded my moms 3 speed civic with a trumpet" sound as much as possible.

Had it installed on 328xi 2009 about a month ago. Sounds great! And there is no annoying drone noise: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=570749

Would definitely recommend to anyone. I paid around $1600 all inclusive of installation (But i had it installed by my dealer so it was higher than most people).

Thx. Yes I agree I don't what it sounding like a civic with a coffee can hang off the back. I wonder if the IS exhaust will fit an E90 and how it will sound?

The PE is louder than the IS exhaust. On a cold start with the PE, if you're standing behind the car you have to speak up an octave to talk to the person next to you.

I'm going to make another video and wind it out. Had a tough time doing it last time w/ traffic and all the damn cicadas making noise.

Coupes are louder then the sedans to begin with. I am currently running a muffler delete with catless downpipes; now that is LOUD! LOL I do like the performance exhaust but the AE exhaust sounds great in person. I do not believe Vanguard makes an xi exhaust....
