Euro Delivery and Rear Fogs...
So I took delivery of my E92 335i on Thursday and have been loving it... the car is already broken in at 1200mls (we've been busy, see attachment, haha).
The interesting thing though, is I asked the delivery specialist if rear fog lights were required for driving in germany, and was given an answer that I'd probably not need them. No big deal, but when I actually got IN the car, I noticed that it already had the rear-fog light-switch panel, and when I tested them, they worked fine! This is a March production car, I was wondering if anyone else with March-production E92s has the rear fog light-switch panel, or if that's just another reason to go with ED

Hmmm interesting. Do you have pics of the rear fogs and the lights panel/switch.

i bought mine over here, which is essentially the same as ED, and mine doesn't have the rear foglights (january build). They aren't necessary on a US Spec car in europe anyway, unless it's registered in the EU

No, but I'll take one tomorrow and try to have it up by the evening... (which would be afternoon US time, heh)

Cool! I guess they're tired of sending all those rear-fog switches over to Greensboro for JD to send to us...

Hey KL2DC! Your lucky day! I decided to stop drinking beer in the hotel room for a few mins and walk outside to snap a few pics.... Enjoy!

This is really weird. I already bought a Euro switch for my car when it is redelivered in the US, but if I already have the switch in my car I'll still be pleased. Anyone know if Crown will take the part back? If not, I guess I'll sell it at a loss. Oh well.

Thanks for the pic...
Wow you certainly got lucky, must've been a production anomaly. I hope they don't notice this at the VPC statesside. Thanks for sharing.

I bet they'll snatch that rear fog enabled switch out somewhere along the line before you get the car. Maybe before it's shipped, maybe at the VPC. If you wind up getting it, I'll take the other switch off your hands. Just send me a PM if you want to sell it.

That definitely a nice surprise. I'm still waiting for my car, but I already ordered a rear fog light switch from Crown BMW.

Or at least I hope they do And if they don't, then I at least hope they decide that being as they're nothing WRONG with the car, and it's already been owned by someone,it's not worth the effort/money to swap them. Or at least I hope it'd happen like that

Good point, let's hope so...as it is your car isn't 100% US spec (in their eyes) It'd be a good test to see how meticulous they are. Some folks talked about getting euro-only trim, equipent etc during ED but got worried they might be removed by the VPC. I am sure your experiences would be valuable to them.

Thats because he has a manual trans car. If you get sport with paddles and automatic the thumb rests are not on the wheel because they get in the way of the paddles.

Thx for the link.
Am I correct to assume that this will also work on the E93 ??
