Anyone add a hitch to an E92?

I have a full yakima setup and they dont offer an e92 attachment yet, was curious if anyone added a hitch where I could purchase one and hopefully post some pics, I wanted to see how visible the receiver is

thanks

Well there is the factory BMW hitch, but it's not a receiver type. Plus, I don't think BMW USA will sell it to you.

I think your best bet would probably be the factory roof rack.

Not a sports car, but certainly not a truck either.

+1 to the get a roof rack comment.

I have been seaching for a hitch for the E92 for Six months! Westfalia makes one but it is the 50mm ball swan neck type. The arm detaches and there is no visible hitch. They also have a fixed mount model that should accept a bolt on bike carrier. The part# to the detachable model is 203266.

Edworthys in the UK will ship to the U.S. But do not show this hitch yet.

I am keeping my old Pathfinder until I can get a hitch to tow my dirtbike and JetSki.

We all love our E9x... but "sports car" may be pushing it.

I'm sure you can find something out there that fits.
My neighbor tracks his 911 on the weekends, and I still look at him in shock every time he hooks his mini trailer up to the back with his race slicks on it.

Umm, he's using the hitch for a rack. He's not pulling anything with it. You can usually buy a hidden-type hitch which is virtually invisible until the receiver is installed. The E90 is not a sports car and is far from God's gift to automobiledom. Some of you need to relax. I'm all for the maximize utility from the least amount of vehicles, but if it were me I'd just use my truck

Show me a hidden hitch that is "virtually invisible" from the rear. Nearly all are eyesores, but apparently thats highly subjective

You can also get one of those really cool propellers to put on it.

Or just use a tennis ball. It will look great!

My trips to Europe has shown me that Europeans will put a hitch on any vehicle they own. I have seen so many BMWs and Mercedes vehicles with hitches on that it was surprising. I feel its we Americans with our gift of space that allows us to use a larger vehicle for towing, but the norm of the small wagon or hatchback in Europe encourages mass hitch use on their smaller vehicles.

I say the hitch looks ugly, but it really is only weird here on this side of the globe.

I saw a 911 Turbo with a little trailer on it for its slicks when I was at Sebring Race Way for a weekend. Personally I'd rather see any car being used for fun no matter what it is than be a garage queen.

get a trailer, stack them in there, pull with a cheap truck, minivan, or suv.
