Progman 25.04 - coming real soon to a workshop near you
Progman 25.04 should be appearing at dealerships starting next week.
This should resolve problems which have occurred with other 25.xx versions.

Jspira great information as usual. I will let my SA know since my car is already in there waiting on a fuel pump... Any chance you might know when they will replenish the supply in the states?

I received v25.00.04 on Thursday. For an e92 335 my RTTI is no longer working. I get the TI symbol but no plus sign and no traffic data. I've read in other threads about .04 users that have voice command problems but they seem to be in '06 e90 models. I thankfully can make phone calls using voice command so I dont have VR problems. |

I was told the download would be available for .04 starting this coming week. Everone here was reporting .02 or .03 until now.

The problems with .04 are different depending on what iDrive you have. Those without RTTI seem to have voice problems while those with RTTI have traffic problems. |

I don't know what version was just installed on my car, but I no longer have voice commands. I took the car back and they will work on it again.
I have a 7/2005 build, but had received 2 previous updates. The first was for mp3 capability (I think it was version 19), then another update for frequent iDrive lockups (this update included the more narrow font and auto-accept of the "lawyer screen"). From what I have seen, this update to progman 25 seems to be the most substantial change. I just need my voice commands back since I hardly use the actual iDrive knob anymore.

Maybe I'm lucky, ignorant, or both, but I just got my car updated yesterday (used the pop-up arrow complaint) and everything seems to be working beautifully for me.
The iDrive is MUCH faster, the pop-up arrows work, RTTI works, voice commands work, and I now have a "traffic info" voice command when I didn't before. The biggest two improvements for me are that I now experience hardly any times when the iDrive seems to be slow to respond (like jumping between fields on a screen, or jumping directly (by holding knob in a certaing direction for 2 seconds or more) from one module (entertainment, communication, navigation, climate) to another and the addition of POI search within Nav. |

My car's 4/2005 build, though and the second update was per the emission recall. Has the idrive gotten noticeably faster than before??

Another thing that I noticed was that throttle response seems a little quicker. Back when I had the first software update (version 19), my car seemed to accelerate a little slower. Now things seem more responsive. The best way to explain it would be that each degree the accelerator is pressed results in more acceleration than before. Similar to pressing the sport button on the E46 M3 (though not as dramatic).

I created a thread about the broken RTTI. Please post in it if you have a problem with traffic updates or if you/your dealer has a solution.

Can anyone confirm if that is v25.00.04 or what the version is that we need to fix VR or how to fix the VR?
