Just ordered a 2007 328ci (Montego/Black)!

Pretty excited so far, I've been drving a beat up 1993 Honda Prelude Si since high school, and I finally pulled the trigger on a e92 Coupe...Montego/Black Leatherette/Aluminum with a 6-Speed, Sport Package, H/S, and the ever-popular 6FL....:rocks: 24 month lease, $1,500 down, $330/month. Employee leases FTMFW!

I realize its a less powerful car, but Seattle isn't exactly an area where you can unwind a car, and the insurance would kill me (I'm 22)...

Other than the wheels, I'll be doing a short-shift kit. I realize theres a different forums for this, but I was looking for a quick answer from some of you gents...Groups buys, best deals, easiest installs, etc. Much appreciated!

I see Rogue and B&M have kits out...B&M looks to be cheaper, but its seems that it was rubbing on one particular 335i. Opinions on shift lits, guys?

Great deal on a great car!

You sure you want to put all those mods on a lease? Will you be putting it back to stock when you return it and then sell your mods?

More than likely just sell the shift kit...I was a Benz tech for a few years, so its really not an issue. As far as the wheels, I'll keep them and put them on the next BMW more than likely.

Axis Penta's 19x8.5's in front, 19x9.5's out back. Hyperblack. They'll look rediculously good with Montego.

Excellent choice. Though I may be biased since that's my combo too :rocks:

Going from Prelude to 328 = yay. My '98 Type SH wasn't really beat up, but it was definitely time for something new (and RWD).

I'll be very curious how that works out. I definitely think the throws could be shorter, but the effort could also be less. I fear the short-shift kit would made one problem better and the other worse

-Dan

P.S. Minor technicality but didn't they do away with the whole "ci" for coupes thing?

Congrats.

This is Michael with the 335i. Besides Alpine White: Montego and Space Gray are my two favorite colors. I'll definitely miss having the E92.

BTW, you have mail.

Congrats.

I'm getting ready to lower my car and I'm actually looking for 18 inch OEM rims. I prefer the 335i 189's, but if you got the 187's and are interested in selling them, I'd be interested.

Hey buddy, I've been out of the office for a few days, I'll be able to check it tomorrow...

I don't really care if the shifting effort is higher with a shift kit (probably the B&M), I just can't stand the GMC pickup feel of how tall the stock shifter is...I guess I'm spoiled after driving an e46 zhp...I LOVE the way that car shifts.
