Seat Belt Warning Sound- Deactivating- 335i Coupe

Does anyone know how to deactivate the seat belt warning sound when not using your seat belt after you start the car! I drive up the street to go to work in the morning so it is not worth putting on the seat belt! That sound drives me nuts, I know there has to be a fuse or something?

Yeah, it would be impossible for someone to hit you on a short drive.

It is precisely for people like you that such alerts, alarms, chimes, dings, and warning labels are required. You probably also figure there's no sense putting your lights on as long as you can still barely see, right?

EDIT: But I'm sure a search will yeild an answer for you.

Oh no, not again!

The search feature is your friend, and helps avoid many of the rude and obnoxious comments you're about to get.

<nanny state>If you are driving so short of a drive you don't feel you need your seatbelt, then it shouldn't be long enough for you to get annoyed by the chime. Also, if that's all your commute is, why waste all that money on a Bimmer when you could get there by bicycle or Yaris or something?</nanny state>

You can use a seatbelt connector that isn't attached to the seatbelt. Just plugs into where you'd fasten the seatbelt, but isn't attached to the belt. That should solve your problem.

I whole heartily agree...and let's ask some other rocket scientific questions about safety related features that have been designed into our cars:

...I hate wearing seatbelts, if I just cut them out of the car will the seat belt chime still function?

...I hate when the airbags inflate, if I stick a needle into them will they still burst through my steering wheel and dashboard?

...I hate that the steel bars in the doors add weight onto the car, if I just look away when I get broadsided will I avoid getting hurt?

...I hate the pulsing when my ABS activates, if I disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder will my hand brake still work?

Well How about this, instead of nagging, how about just a dash of reality?

Not wearing a seatbelt is fucking pathetic and stupid. All those that stomp their feet and cry FREEDOM are the reason we now have seat belts and seat belt laws as fuggin annoying as they are...

Grow the fuck up, don't ask stupid ass questions, and just buckle the damn belt.

NOT ONE GOOD REASON NOT TOO! NONE.

Christ on a crutch...

How about when I am transporting stuff and I put somethign in the front seat and it goes off... Maybe they should think about people like me when they design it for "people like you"
