Fenders wider?

Are the F10 M5's fenders wider (different) than that of the regular F10?

I was studying the pictures and could hardly tell any difference.

Please don't quote me on these figures but I thought it was about 20-30mm wider for the M5.

The M5 never gets wider fenders than a non-M 5 series. It's only the M3 that gets the wider fenders and quarter panels than a non-M 3 series. I am not really impressed with the F10. It's just not aggressive enough, IMO of course.

What I was referring to was the fenders and quarter panels. The M3's get the flared out quarter panels and front fenders always, with the exception of the E36 for whatever reason. The E30, E46, and E90/92/93 all got the flared panels/fenders.

The M5s may be wider but it never gets the flared fenders and quarters when they really should, especially with the F12 535/550i with M package sharing very similarly designed bumpers and wheels. Those who aren't enthusiasts could easily confuse the two. It shouldn't be that way.

Nope, E60 has wider front fender than E60 non-M, rears are the same. I'm almost 100% sure F10 M5 will have wider front fenders and the rear will be the same for both M and non-M.

If the front fenders are the same I'll be putting an M5 front bumper on my F10!

I'm still not convinced..... Who has inside BMW M info/specs about the (front)fenders? I know the E60 M5 front fenders are a tad wider than a normal E60, so.

It's pretty obvious I think. Look at the space on the fender light of the headlight, it's obviously wider.

Still not convinced, do this: take engineering scale ruler or just normal ruler with small readings and measure the distance between furthest grill bars (or center of the projectors, or corner of headlights), then (on the same picture) measure furthest distance between fenders. Do the ratio for both pictures and you will see that ratio for M5 is higher, so it’s wider.
Assumptions: camera lens distortion should be pretty small, so it is neglectable.

You don't need a ruler to see that the front fenders are SLIGHTLY wider on the M5. In the photo above, just look at the amount of sheet metal to the left of the corner of the left headlight assembly on the M5, and compare to the amount of sheet metal on the non-M5. The M5 fenders are definitely wider - but IMHO they should have been wider still, in order to better differentiate the two cars.
