Honestly...Any1 having second thoughts..
..about their e92? This is my first big car purchase, Im 19 and been riding a wak ass Maxima for 2 years and I've taken this purcahse very seriously. I have researced every compitive car to the 3 series, Thought about the new C class, but the tailights look horrible. Thought about Audi a4 (too pussy tho), Maybe a5(looks ok). Lexus has fallen off harder with their designs and seriously look horrible (Lexus is finished), and last Infiniti g37 (old one is nice, new one is wak, and its japonese, going from Nissan 2 Infiniti wouldnt be a great transition for me). So i felt i really made the right choice, i fell in love with this car but why am i feeling like Ive made a mistake, maybe its the fact it doesnt have 4 doors(by the way, how the does the e92 fit people in the back?), and now im feeling ive made the wrong color selection (i chose AW in my head in Sept 06, and never thought about another color until now)...does this happen to any1? am i just bugging out?

cognitive dissonance- look it up hehehe
I think it's safe to say that everyone feels this way on some level. Just go with your instinct and stick with it. Remember, you're buying it for the badge- |

If you ask me what I would get beside the e9x, then I may consider the G35(s). However, I can never imagine myself driving in an Infinity while there's a bimmer out there.
You will never get bored of driving a BMW. I guarantee it.

Stick with the E92. I don't really see how anyone can be disappointd with it unless there are reliability issues.
As for color, I ordered Monaco, which I was set on and then spent 3 months doubting my decision. I went back and forth countless times wondering if I should have gone with Montego or AW instead. Especially seeing the countless pics on this site! In the end though, I'm 100% thrilled that I stuck with my original color choice. Don't get me wrong, AW in particular gives me a pang of envy every time I see it...but at the same time, every time I'm walking up to my car I can't help but love the color. My point is, there's a reason you ordered the color you did. It's natural to go back and forth while waiting, but in the end you'll probably love the choice you made. |

My marketing professor says 5% of people have buyer's remorse, apparently you're in the 5%. Maybe its because you're 19, maybe because its your first awesome car.. I finally got my dream car and have no regrets, cept if I had like 5k more I would have a 335, but now all I'm worrying about is finding a hot chick to put in my passenger seat =D.

HONESTLY.. the only second thoughts i ever had about my e90 was not waiting for the 335i. I purchased the 330i 5 months before the 335i's were availabe and now.. i wish i had waited. but given certain situations i had to get a car at that time. BUT, i do try to keep myself happy about having the most powerful naturally aspirated 3er out there haha but other than that, you'll love your e90, i promise.

@GeeMakn Can't go wrong with a bimmer, the only problem i see for you is either 2 or 4 door. I bough my car for myself only and don't care much about driving other ppl around (except chicks but 2 door is enough for that). If you have lots of friends who will ride with you lots of time you will hate them for crawling into your back seats and scratching stuff inbetween

I think it's safe to say most people in Europe can only afford a car like yours when they're a lot older and have worked for many years, so think yourself lucky and enjoy the car.

To answer both your questions:
regret: I thought a couple times that i might be making a bad decision, considered other options, but while i was waiting i just had to trust myself, and know that I made the right choice when I ordered it. I picked up my car a couple days ago, and I can't think of any car I'd rather be driving that's not literally twice the price. I'm in love and wishing my commute was longer. the seating space isn't bad, anyone over 5'10" might had head room problems, but legroom is plentiful. |

It took me 3 years to pick a new car. I spent month after month thinking of the Z, S4 (i'm actually a pretty big audi fan), TT, RX-8, G35, E46M3, Evo, Sti, and the beloved S2K (Originally my first choice... I would've gotten one if I were shorter)...
but now that I actually have my 335i, I completely, 100% assure you that there is not ONE single bone in my body that regrets the decision. She is absolutely perfect.

Ask mommy and daddy to kick in some extra money for therapy and you'll be just fine. I'm sure there is a designer syndrome for the horrible agony you are experiencing.
