I think they look funny also. Makes the car look like a ricer when the license plate is offset like that. I've never gotten any trouble for not having a front plate but another option is to put the license plate on the dash of the passenger side.

Thats not an option. You can get ticketed for that as well. I agree I hate the look of my rho plate but its needed. I've gotten ticketed twice for no front plate (both times in chinatown, both fatass motorcycle cops). Btw, first one was dropped.

I got mine from BavAuto. Have to admit, I didn't care for the look of it when I first put it on, but it's grown on me.

i meant funny like the brackets looked very home made and they stuck out several inches from the bumper, could pivot side to side.

i got stopped in bothell. cop was kinda dickish about it, i played stupid blamed it on the body shop not putting the bracket on. i might just go with the 3m tape, if i ever have to tow it, i'll just peal off the plate... or not. idfk.

I happen to agree with your line of thinking...but that's a different story altogether. The state would actually LOSE money if they didn't require front plates cuz traffic cams and cops wouldn't know who to send tickets to. Front plates actually enable that lucrative stream of revenue.

As long as I don't have to pay state income tax.....heh

I liked to know if anyone got stopped in chinatown and actually got away without a ticket. Those guys are dicks. The second cop wouldn't even let me explain. He started yelling at me. Could be just me..

The one I ordered came with a spacer to move the plate the desired distance from the bumper. It also has 3 separate holes on the front to center the plate how you want. Mine has been mounted for a month and hasn't moved.

I was stopped today in West Seattle for no front plate. I was given a warning. The cop was cool about it, but said they are cracking down more on lack of front plates due to the red light cameras. Kind of a bummer. I really don't want the plate on the front, but I think having it mounted in the center looks better than having it off to the side.

i would be all for redlight cams if they were for safety and not another way to pickpocket drivers. lot of corruption with ATS.

Cops also aim at your front plate when they are using laser guns. So without it they have to aim at your headlights. That is probably one of the reasons they want you to have it on.

I live in the Silverdale area and just this morning my wife was pulled over by the WSP. TWICE! We have owned our coupe since October and have driven it with no problems until now. I rarely see staters on this side of the water and it seems like there is a new emphasis on this issue. One officer was on a motorcycle and the other was driving an unmarked Charger.

They both let her go with a warning, but be on the lookout for WSP.

i was pulled over a few weeks back. our M3 front bumper does not have the tow hook hole to mount one. I'm thinking we'll need to zip tie it to the grill
