Arrow March 2007 3 Series Sales Report

March sales of the new 3 Series reached 11,259 units this month which was an 11.6% increase over the 10,093 cars sold last March. For the first 3 months of 2007 total sales increased 19.5% over the total sold during the first quarter of 2006. This month BMW recorded the sale of the first of the 2007 model year 328i and 335i convertibles as well as the first 335xi sedan.

For comparison, Mercedes Benz sold 4,486 C Class units in March, up 14.8% from the 3,906 units sold last March. March sales of 5,077 units of the Lexus IS250 and IS350 represents a 2.6% decrease from the 5,210 sold last March.

Please note that I am report only the United States sales data.

Wow lexus must be worried, the is 350 and 250 have been advertised hard and I see very few on the roads here. The one thing that really strikes me about these cars is how cramped they are inside. That was always the big knock against the 3 series and Toyota in my view has got it wrong. The body shape has comprised the interior space.

Must have had something to do with that new TwinTurbo inline 6

+1 about the cramped interior, but the IS seems to sell pretty well in San Diego. That said, I completely lost interest when it went from having a slightly underpowered 3.0-liter inline-6 to either a completely wimpy V6 or a slushbox-only 300+ hp V6. WHAT!

here in the southbay, i see way too many IS's~ almost as many as E9X....both blend in perfectly with the hondas~
