just got my matt black grill along with DCI in the mail today, only took me about an hour n half to put it all together

Looks great! I did the same thing last week and I love the look. Now just paint the lower grills black!

What gain does the DCI gives you? How much does the DCI cost you? Is this your track car where you time up to 140mph? I am still contemplating if I want to give up throttle response.

E92ML: i actually want to paint it black but wasnt sure how to go about it

BMXreme: um i heard its like 10-15hp but the only thing i notice is the turbo spools up quicker and the turbo sound is more noticeable. you should get it there on sale right now for 95$ at BMS or Jlevi

Thanks! $95, not too bad. How does throttle feels for you? Is the loss noticible?

you mean is the gain noticeable ? yes a lil bit because the turbo isnt screaming for more air.

For the most part, a DCI without a tune wont produce much of a difference, if anything it underperforms the stock airbox. Heres a thread that goes more in detail about it http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352077.

This is true, but it sounds really nice and you'll gain from it if you have a tune installed.

Use plastidip spray, its like black spray paint but with less over spray and its more durable. The front lower grill is removable. For the other two, tape up the entire front end of your car and spray on a few coats.

Loss

DCI will gain at top end with a tune, but def loss for low end throttle response. I rarely go beyond 70mph, but the sound is pretty nice

Still not sure if i wanna get it yet...hmmh hmmhmm decission descission. I guess I'll wiat until I get to hop on someone's car with one.

yeah it looks cool and sounds nice but yeah its whatever for 95 bucks cant beat that. i do plan on getting the jb4 kit within a month or so
