How do you use the key thats integrated in the fob to open the trunk? Sounds like a retarded question but i am not sure. i took the key out, put it in the slot and turned right nothing??? is there something wrong with my key/trunk or do i need to make sure the button in the glove dept is on lock, mine is on unlock thankS!!!

I had the same problem using the key. It doesn't release the latch, but enables the switch where you lift up the trunk.

No, it actually releases the latch just like other cars. Turn it harder until your fingers hurt.

I finally got it to open. I normally wouldn't think of turning the key so hard . The owners manual should say turn key "hard" to release.

This is an interesting thread. I've had my car almost 18-mths now and not once did I have the inclination to try the key on the trunk lock. I might do that this weekend and check it out.

Oh yeah? wait until your battery is dead. That's reason why the guy asked if he can release the trunk using the key insert....

it's because the key doesn't have a big area to apply the torsion that's why it's so hard.

I remember from the owner's manual that u turn to the left. I was able to turn left 13 way - nothing... then i tried turning right, i feel a click.. but trunk won't pop open. Do I really have to turn it hard- it feels like the plastic is gonna break if i turn any harder.

i wanted to make sure the key works and when the battery goes dead.. i know it'll work. The first day i picked up my car and tried it... it didn't work.. i thought the dealer slipped the wrong key into my fob.

Do that when your battery dies and let me know...
