325/328/330 engine differnces
Speaking strictly about motor construction, and setting the obvious horsepower and torque specs aside, what really changed between the 325i (US) and the 328i? Since these motors are both 3 liters, how does their construction differ from the 2006 330i?
I have a 530i (2007) which has the same motor as the 330i (it's a wonderful engine), but I have my eyes on a 328i in the future. Other than 25hp, what else do you give up in the engine bay? Thank you, Robert |

You should check out the "under the hood" forum on this site. There is a thread there that is pretty recent that tells you exactly what the difference is between the 325 and 328. 328i vs 325i: The exhaust valve stems are 6mm instead of 5mm, pistons are different, new engine management system, and some other stuff... |
