2007 E92 OEM Tire Poll

Was wondering if BMW alternates OEM tires on any regular basis. There are plenty of choices so you should be able to vote. NOTE: THIS IS JUST FOR 2007 COUPES!

I think only the bridgestone provides the performance runflat tires for BMW. So basically if you have the sports package on the RWD 3 series, you are getting Bridgestone Potenza tires. The other manufacturer is Michelin but apparently they are not used in North America as OEM tires.

The factory (Regensburg for E92) recieves a few deliveries a day from all the suppliers

They get E92 tires from
Bridgestone ( 17" + 18" )
Michelin ( 18" )
Pirelli ( 17" )
Continental ( 17" )

USA only gets Bridgestone or Continental

i wonder if the Contis are better than the Bridgestone because mine are always breaking traction.

can't wait to have to buy some SC2 next summer.

Just curious why you want to limit the poll to the coupe only. Do you think the wheel/tire configuration is different between coupe and sedan? Genuine quesiton... but I don't think so. You're greatly limiting your data pool.

I think the coupes are manufactured in a different plant than the sedans and wanted to see the supply chain. Since I'm getting a coupe, that's the data I'm interested in. Also didn't want to post a poll with 48 options.

I know you have the Contis but as you can see, none are showing up on this poll.

Cant say i felt any difference between the Conti equiped cars i have driven and my Bridgestones

Thought we dont get the all season ones the US gets on some cars, only the summer ones

I don't want to make a blanket statement about it, but my Bridgestones SUCKED and BMW handled it very poorly. I also have the same EL-42's on the E91 but they are not as bad (noise, feathering, etc.). My E90 was a beta release in many respects - tires included.

I was very thrilled to see the Contis on the new car!

IN this case I'd say that there must have been to many options, None of which were obviously freaking mental or criminals... Thus No one to vote for. Wasn't enough name recognition and they hadn't been TOLD by the media which to vote for yet...
