Series 3 OEM supension vs. Series 5 lowered suspension

Probably not fair to ask, but I had the chance to drive a 335 as a loaner. I found the car was fun to drive but the ride was really bumpy. You could feel every imperfection on the road, the cabin is noisy, but you feel very in control on turns (which I would like to feel on my 5). I'm planning to lower my 535i, but I'm afraid it would feel like a series 3 in terms of suspension, bimpiness and noise. For those who have driven both. What's the difference?

Sorry, I meant "bumpiness".

Lowering your 535 won't make it ride rough like the 3 series -- I promise -- it'll only make it ride more like the previous generation 535.
