CM fx100 slipping in high gears

So after an initial long break in period with this clutch it was holding up great for the last 3000 miles. Then driving home a couple days ago I hit the gas in 5th gear and noticed a slight jump then drop in rpm. I was able to repeat this both in 5th and 6th gears and then it stopped and held fine. I get in the car yesterday and after startup I decide to try again(waited till temps reached 200 so car would boost) and I go full wot in 6th and it slips even worse then the day before, but after driving and going through the gears it stops happening and holds fine. I called clutchmasters they said they have heard of this on cars that have a proportioning valve between slave and master cylinder. Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem. Why am I getting these small slips in high gears and only when I initially drive. Thanks

Other than mine going out after 4500km I already heard of three others with short life span from clutchmasters...mine was a 6 puck ceramic and I thought that may have been the reason but now I'm starting to wonder wtf is up with CM on these cars...try talking to Luis at CM and put in a warranty claim as that's definitely not normal...

I wonder if anyone here has run a CM clutch for a longer period than 15,000km, anyone?

i talked to them today they said they would send me an fx300 but of course I have to pay and hope mine gets covered when i send it back. Does anyone know if i can pair their fly wheel with an act clutch?

I spoke to awd motor sports the vendor I purchased it from and they said they have never heard of a problem with a cm clutch. They said they would call cm and see what they could do. They havent called me back its been 5 days. Just bc they havent heard of a problem doesnt mean they dont exist its supper frustrating have to pay for install again, and not having your vendor at least least try and help me get new parts.

FBO minus meth. Its just so weird that it holds after you drive and the clutch warms up.

Hmmm, that does sound wierd. I have had no issues whatsoever with my CM. Are you on the stock flywheel? Did you have it resurfaced?

Ya, that really makes absolutely no sense then. It sure sounds like a slip from what you are describing. What is the FX100 rated at?

70percent over stock. It slips between 3-4k its almost like wheel spin.
I talked to cm they said the fx100 doesnt hold that much. Maybe they should change that 70% to 10%

If that rating is real, then you probably have very close to that number.

That part does seem odd to me as well. Are you just flooring it in high gears with no shift to make this happen?

CM is good. I def would go with ACT though. Never had a problem with those clutches before.

I'm scared of CM now I'd hate to take it out and throw in a fx300 and hate it. Act is proven and well liked.

Ask what torque it is rated for. I guess it is rated close to what you have with FBO. So no wonder it slips.
