Post **Vishnu PWM Meth Kit Full Review** 800mile Road Trip Journal and Video

Ok guys there has been a lot of buzz going on lately about PWM meth kits. So here is my full review after a long driving weekend to Bimmerfest in Pasadena, CA. This post was meant to help people and show people what my experience was with the Vishnu PWM meth kit. So please if you have nothing nice or constructive to say please do not comment!!! Thanks

My car is a 2007 e90 with 48K. I only have the Procede and DCI installed because I have factory warranty until 2013. I’m far to busy to keep removing FMIC and DP all the time for dealer visits. So I was looking to get more power without sacrificing my time. I brought it into the dealer the week before taking it to Vishnu. I had the HPFP replaced along with 3 injectors. They updated the car with the latest software. I replaced the spark plugs later that day after picking up the car. I dropped the car off with Robert@Vishnu the next week and waited patiently for them to complete the testing. Later in the week Robert was nice enough to take me on a test drive a few days before picking up the car. He explained to me that the rear e-brake was dragging and they had discovered a vacuum leak on two of my vacuum lines. Also the filter on my windshield washer pump was clogged and was limiting the flow of meth from the reservoir tank. They adjusted the e-brake, replaced both vacuum lines and cleaned the pump filter all before giving the car back to me. Honestly I was shocked at how kind they were to do all this for me. I had just picked it up from the dealer and they had not noticed any of these problems. Team Vishnu knew there way around my car better than the techs at BMW!!! Now they could have been lazy and not helped me out or not even mentioned it to me. But they did all of this free of charge and with smiling faces. It is great to have a company like this so close by. I wish some of you around the country could experience this first hand because Team Vishnu was simply amazing. I picked up the car a few days later and the car was washed, had a full tank of gas and a full tank of meth. They walked me through the kit and showed me all the ins and outs. They showed me how to data log with the Procede. I had previous experience with K-Pro so I caught on quick. They sent me on my way with a smile the size of Texas.

A friend and I left the SF bay area after work on Friday and set off for a long weekend trip to SoCal for Bimmerfest 2011. Honestly it was my first time logging with the Procede and my buddy was not the best of help. This resulted in the complete deletion of all of the Friday night logs. I know we were noobs and I’m sorry for not having them but we were able to get great logs later in the weekend.

I was able to get about 15 or more great pulls that night before reaching the grape vine.
These pulls were usually from 60mph in 3rd gear to the top of 4th. Some pulls were from around 80mph in 4th to about midway up 5th gear.
When the throttle is pressed the turn signal lights would blink for a quick moment then come on completely. Boost would build instantly and by the time I noticed the lights and looked down I was already pinned at 16.5psi. The car would begin to squat back on the soft stock sports suspension. I was firmly pressed back in my seat and could instantly feel the difference. I soon realized this was much much faster than before. A few hours later the snores of my friend were beginning to ware me out. I grabbed my still cold Redbull and switched back to map 4 for some fun through the grape vine. The grape vine is stretch of winding hwy through the mountains north of LA. It is about 40 miles long and has steep hill climbs and great turns. I made it though the grapevine in less than 30 min averaging 110mph thanks to Valentine One. The car was simply flawless!! I sprayed meth the entire time and constantly. There was not a single code. Amazingly my friend managed to sleep through it all. Right after the grape vine an ISF came out to play. From 60mph in 3rd gear he was left in the dust after a three honk pull. We ran a few more times and every time I walked on him. Because my friend was still asleep I was not able to get video of this race. After waking my friend with all the great news the windshield washer fluid low indicator came on and I thought I was methed out and the weekend was over.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. I meet up with Huy and Robert @ Vishnu the next day in Santa Monica before Bimmerfest. There were a few more Procede enthusiasts there and we were all going to Bimmerfest together. I had poured a bottle of water in the meth tank to get a little bit more out of the already low tank. The mixture was almost 90% meth so one water bottle was ok to even the mixture out. We got the logs up and running and decided to run the car against a Full bolt-on e92. First we started with me in map 1 with no meth running the e92. The e92 pulled very well against me. We did three pulls from 3rd gear at 60mph to 4th gear about 110. All three times he walked on me. Then I switched to map 4 and let the meth work its magic. My car instantly pulled on the FBO e92. The other guy was shocked and confused. After 4 more runs he was convinced that he was not going to win. It was a complete roll reversal. I was pulling on the e92 harder than he had pulled on me in map 1. Then I ran a 2011 135i DCT with Procede and Vishnu downpipe installed. Again I completely destroyed the 135. I got another 15 or so pulls that day on the meth tank and still had not run out.

On Sunday we started our journey back to the bay. Another 10 pulls with logs and a unhappy 5.0 mustang and a couple unhappy e46 m3’s later we were home. Over all the weekend went well without a single issue. The car made it over 800 miles and not a single code or problem. I was able to get countless pulls and a full 40 miles of meth use out of the tank before it went empty. I was very impressed with the kit. The car is extremely fast now and completely problem free. I could not have asked for more. I have spent around $2,000 on my mods and my car can easily beat many fast cars in the 400~450hp range. This was a solid investment IMO. If you don’t have time to tinker or are still under factory warranty this is the kit for you.

I believe that Shiv have created a bulletproof product. I can easily uninstall everything in less than two hours. It has more than enough power. It is completely problem free and integrates very well with the Procede. To me it’s hard to even put a price on this convenience and power. Team Vishnu took care of many problems the car had and delivered me a great product. Overall I am more than satisfied with the PWM kit and I hope everyone gets to drive a car with this kit on it soon. I just want to take a second and say thank you for all your help Shiv, Robert, and Huy. Your service is unparalleled and so are your products. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me because I’d be more than happy to help. I will post a part 2 with all the logs from the trip soon.

Ok.......that's it.

I have been holding out on meth until my warranty runs out, but if it's fairly easy to install/uninstall then I'm buying in real soon.

good review thanks...I saw your car at the vishnu shop last week...the vishnu team are definitely good at what they do.

The pulls looks cool, that FBO e92 looked like they didnt even press gas pedal and the 135 was pretty damn good for only DP, it looks like it would have passed the e92 FBO based off of your videos, which does make sense to me .....couple of questions:

Does your car have an oil cooler?

If so, stock?

What were your oil temps during your roadtrip (avg, highest), especially in the grapevine? and during your mini races?

With these "fast cars" you must be accumulating a lot of road kill. But since your tank is now full of meth, how do you clean the windshield?

If I ever did this, I'd want that meth elsewhere not in my washer fluid tank.

You do know there is meth in your windshield washer fluid right?

( i never used my windshield washer fluid ever in my 2+ years of ownership).

I think Vishnu planned on optional trunk mount retro fit IIRC.

Uh? Most washer fluids have about 30% methanol in them. I use it as a last resort as long as it doesn't have detergent.

I've accidently sprayed my windshield with my meth solution, no problems. It's not going to spontaneously combust. I wash my car weekly and use a gas station squeegy as a last resort.
