It's not gonna do anything harmful to your car. It's only a flap to reduce drone and noise.

I've had it unplugged for 50K miles without a problem

Same here... No problems... may lose a tiny bit of mpg and hp, from what I've read, but overall, no issues here...

As Brey335i stated, it's just a flap. I've had it unplugged for a while too...

Keep in mind that it would store a code, that will go away once you plug it back and clear codes... Just thought ill let you know

Yes, your car will blow up

Be forewarned, it can throw a code so the dealer may ask what's up. Just plug it back in before you make a visit.

no, the flap is built in to the stock exhaust. therefor getting aftermarket exhaust gets rid of it

This will cause your car's blinker fluid to overload, and damage the exhaust bearings. Under no circumstances should this be done. Some people can get away with it but do you really want to risk your exhaust bearings and the blinker fluid? Thought so.
