bad night for my baby...
Driving on a date with my wife...suddenly got a engine malfunction light and reduced power...bummer. The message said to see the service department or something like that so decided to go ahead and drove to the lookout point for wine and cheese and romantic times. Got back in the car, no error message now, and was driving down a dark single lane road and realized we were going in the wrong direction so I do a slow three point turnaround that was one point too short...ended up grazing a high dirt berm and f*cked up my Kerscher spoiler....so bummed out tonight....
Anyone else get a random engine malfunction light? Is this the infamous "limp" mode? What causes that? |

I think I had some bad gasoline once (petrol? ) that caused me to go into limp. Car was fine later. Be careful where you fill up! Sorry to hear about your spoiler, that sucks!

Sorry to hear about your spoiler Rick. Did you feel any jerking or anything when the car went into limp mode? Have you had any chance to put the scan tool and see if any codes?
