New Cobb Install - Daily Driver Impression
Let me preface by saying that I am no expert on tunes, dont track cars, etc and am simply a daily driver.
I installed the Cobb on my 08 335 (auto) a few days ago. I started off with the V201 91 octane prior to downloading the newer V202 calibrations. Honestly at first I did not feel much difference though I only did a quick drive the first day. That night I switched the map to the 202 standard throttle ACN91 octane map. What a difference a day makes. Not sure if I had a bit more confidence the day after the install but I could now really feel the difference. Just a much more aggressive drive from stock. From 0-30 I dont feel a huge difference but from 30-80 my car just goes. It really gives that throw you make in your seat feeling that I love when I punch it. Nice job Cobb...looking forward to getting into all the other tools that come along with AP and logging, etc. |

Nice... I'm in the same boat as you (not a tune expert or track driver, just daily commute) and was trying to decide which tune best fit my needs as a daily driver... Looks like I may be joining you in the COBB realm... Looking forward to future updates from your experience using it...

it's a little bit better on MPG.....BUT....it's driver based. your car gets faster, you will push it cuz it's faster, and then you will kill the MPG cuz you are going faster LOL!! if you drive regularly, it's better on MPG. |

Another daily driven here.
Enjoy the tranformation of the car after install the AP. Love to be able to install/uninstall/change maps/datalogging/checking live data in real time/record 1/4 miles and 0-60 time, and etc., all at the clicks of the buttons. No brainer, no headache. I can run 93 map in the morning driving to work, 91 map after lunch, put it on valet mode when dineout at night, and back to 93 map again when want to have fun on the highway back home. And uninstall the next morning for an oil change at the dealer.

I think the improvements in performance wouldnt go unnoticed as you would be able to move about with people in the car which the increase low end power.
I think everyone here atleast 99% daily drives their car with a tune. Car drives the sameway around town. Its just the medium to heavy loads where you notice the difference in power. Gas mileage can remain the same if you drive normal with any tune. |

Well, I must say the Cobb rocked this morning. Living in downtown Chicago, I don't have the opportunity to get on it too often. This morning, I had to make a quick pass as my lane was ending on the highway. I managed to jolt from 50 to 85mph in what seemed like the blink of an eye, all the while, with my traction control light going as tires were spinning. The wife was "nauseated" after, but it was well worth it... Running 2.02 and couldn't be happier... automatic tranny.
