Anyone on the FUJI, sailed 3/17?
My 328xi sedan sailed on the Fuji, is set to arrive in Port Hueneme on 4/9. Woo hoo! I'm already counting the days. Anyone else on this ship?
I'm buying from a dealer in Marin County, curious to see just how many days I'll have to wait after it arrives in Port for the car to make its way to Marin and be ready for me. |

From what I've been reading here it seems there are 3 ships coming into port at about the same time. Hoehg Trinity is now scheduled for 4/7 (up from 4/9) Fuji is scheduled 4/11 and I could have sworn I read about a third coming in at the same time. I'm REALLY hoping my car is on one of those! I figure that's enough cars coming in and enough time for my car to have gotten to the docks for the ship... I haven't been able to get my CA to give me ANY info on where the car is but based on timing......
You can go here to see the incoming calendar from the port Good luck to us both!!! |

Thanks -- where can I see the port schedule?
Glad to hear I have company on the west coast... =)
In your response you said I could see the port schedule "here", but there was no link. Would you mind sending along? Thanks! And good luck being more patient than I am! |

That VPC should be pretty filled up by the time the FUJI arrives! I did see at one point that Figaro and Fuji were scheduled to arrive on the same day, even though Figaro departed a couple of days earlier. I sure hope you don't pass me on the way to California! Wdogan, congrats on the 328xi! Bartman, congrats on the 335i! I'm waiting for my 328xi sedan also: Sparkling graphite / terra / premium / sport / cold / manual / Logic 7 / Sirius. -Mike -Where is it now? |

Thanks Mike! I'm selling my old car TODAY (2002 Audi A4) so I'll be carless until the new one arrives -- which makes me especially impatient. =) But this buyer offered me a price I couldn't refuse, so I can live without for a few weeks. Congrats to you too, can't wait to drive off in the new car!!! |

My car (335i, Montego blue/beige) could be on the Fuji, or it could be on the Jupiter Diamond (On BMW OC, it went to en route status sometime in the last week). NYK's site doesn't make it easy to find out which one, especially compared to WWL. Damn, I'm impatient!

This wait is killing me. Someone plowed into me in my e46 in the begining of January a week after I put the down on the ED. I've been without a real car since. Borrowing when I can, carpooling the rest of the time. This is just dragging on and on...
I've even missed a BMWCCA driving school event! This just kills!!!! |

Hello:
My car is on the jupiter diamond as well. Has anyone seen the pics of this vessel, it's quite scary! Looks like it's in bad shape compared to the other ships. And I believe it's one of the older vessels. Anyway...hopefully it will arrive on time if not early... |

Any updates on the Fuji?
CA is being very conservative and telling me 2-3 MORE weeks. My ship (Fuji) is scheduled to dock on 4/9 according to the company website (BMW is saying 4/12), and he's saying it could be FIFTEEN DAYS from them until the car's ready for delivery. I'm about 300 miles from the port and VPC...
Does this seem reasonable? Or do you think he's being cautious to set expectations low? |

Anyone find any tracking information on the Fuji? I tried getting access to AIS tracking but they never responded to my requestion, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had better luck. ETA for the ship has varied from 4/9 to 4/12, so my baby MIGHT be on California soil by now, I'm dying to know.
ANY info would be appreciated. THANK YOU!!!

I'm on the fuji too. According to the Port of San Diego vessel schedule, the fuji is scheduled to dock in San Diego the 13th. Port Hueneme's schedule is still set to the 12th though. Let's hope it docks at Port Hueneme first.
Check out Port of San Diego's vessel schedule at http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/ |

Damn it! Showing San Diego on the 12th, Long Beach on the 13th... Which would mean Port Hueneme on the 14th at the earliest. Figaro left Bremerhaven the same day and arrived FOUR days ago, Fuji arrives 5 days later than planned. So frustrating!!!
If any anybody has AIS maps/info to share, please post! Quote:

We might be in luck. I just checked the free version of aislive, and the Fuji finally popped up. It looked like it had a heading vector that would indicate it was leaving San Diego. Taking into account the random delay, it might as well dock at Oxnard today. Who know's ;-).

CA just emailed me and said that Fuji has already docked -- he thinks I'll have my car (in SF Bay Area) next week. Woo hoo!

Yeah, just checked with my CA too. Told me it would probably take around 10 days to get to the dealership. Still hope it will come next week, though.
So far the process is going pretty smooth: Picked up my car in Munich at 2-23 Dropped my car off in Amsterdam at 03-02 Car transported to Zeebrugge, and loaded onto Fuji at 03-09 Car Arrived at Port Hueneme 04-12. Not bad considering most people's turn-around time is 8 weeks. My CA promised me I can pick my car up the same day it arrives.:rocks: |
