Send me my car BMW!!! It's been sitting outside the VDC for 10 days.
This sucks! I was so excited last week when Elektra arrived at Port Hueneme on March 12th. My CA was expecting the car no later than last Friday. Now, all I know is that the car is sitting. They tried to figure out what's going on, but they can't get an answer from anybody. I lost the excitement I had last week.
My CA thinks this is due to the convertibles that came in the same ship. I get e-mails every other day, just apologizing and explaining that they are doing their best. 800# says the car is waiting at the port, but OC shows it at the preparation center. So I'm assuming that it has been inspected and all they need to do is to ship it to SF. I've been waiting since January without any problems, but this is no good. I know that the car is in California, but it's just sitting somewhere. Does anybody have any idea about what may be going on? By the way, I ordered an AW E92 335. |

Yeah that blows. The VPC doesn't give out any information. That's why I try to caution new owners not to mark dates on the calendar - except in pencil.

If somebody asked me now, I would probably tell them not to mark dates before they make sure that the car has arrived, but I was too excited about it and I wanted to trust my CA's experience. |

Can't blame you for that. A lot can happen at the VPC... you're better off to make plans when the dealer has the car. That's a tough pill to swallow, I know.

I understand what you are feeling. My car was discharged from the boat on 3/13 (Asian King). The OC just changed this morning saying that it was at the prep center. I called my CA this morning and they are telling me that the car was released to a carrier yesterday afternoon and should arrive at the dealer either today or tomorrow. I asked if I could pick it up on Saturday, and they said that it should not be a problem if it arrives today (I am having them tint the windows before I pick it up). If it arrives tomorrow, they will have to PDI it and probably have the tint guy come out on Monday.
The funny part is that if I call the 800#, it says that my car is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. Ugh!
