My ac smells like ass
Every time I start it for the first couple mins. According to other threads my evaporator might have mold and thrives when the ac is turned off for a period of time.
Anyone has this problem as well? I can only spray Lysol in my shit for a couple day fix so many times. Please help.

Spraying Lysol into your shit isnt going to help. That should stay in the toilet.
You might want to pick up some AC cleaner to spray into drain hose. Your problem is most likely in your Evaporator core. Maybe your cabin air filter as a secondary? If your up for it, find a shop that does a thorough AC cleaning. Cleans all the ducts, evaporator, etc.

In higher humidity climates this may not work, but here in good old NM, I simply turn the AC off (but leave the blower on) for the last 10-15 seconds of my drive to dry the coils out. Don't get the smell when I do this. Its simply a matter of keeping that dry, but like I say, in Miami that might not be easy. Also, research the windsheild leak issue, which yours may have.

On the dashboard console try pressing the articulation button. I had that problem a few times before, but the smell only lasted about 5 minutes then went away.

Yeah we really need to know what it's like when you hit the recirc. button.
This could be as simple as needing a new cabin air filter, or more complex like mold in your system. Or maybe you're just a smelly guy?! j/k |

OP - Do you ever turn recirc. off?
Sounds like your car might just be buttoned up too tight and with moisture inside + heat you're going to get musty smells. Have you changed the cabin filter?

it's something different than the cabin filter... mine did the exact same thing...brought it in to the dealership and it turns out there was a faulty hose and therefore part of the smell was coming from the AC "oil" that was seeping into the hose and blowing into the car... they replaced the hose and the smell is gone! bring it to the dealership...
