Low Boost and Code 12543 - need help please!

I have a 2007 E93 that has Procede V5, Forge DV, Vishnu DCI, and ER FMIC and Chargepipe. Recently upgraded to 3-15 DIC map and had some slow boost onset issues. I emailed Shiv and he sent the new 3-30 Beta map that seemed to make things slightly better. I still seemed to have an excessive lag in building up boost. Anyway, with daily driving was not noticeable only noticed on WOT. Last weekend had my ER FMIC installed and some of you may have read my thread on that where I was apparentky sent the MT one and not the AT one. The shop I used cut and welded the driverside pipe on FMIC after needing to rotate it to get appropriate fitting with factory mount because of the AT transmission cooler that is not on MT cars. Everything seemed fine after install except for still slower than usual build up of boost. Yesterday I got 1/2 CEL one way home from work. The CANClear reset it when I stopped somewhere so I was not sure of code. When I got home I did some testing and data logs. I also switched back from 3-30 map to 12-17 map to see if that solved problem. I got code 12111...uncertain but think its "speed plausibility code" whatever that means. Still with slow boost buildup. Then I reset code and updated to 3-30 DIC map once again to see if maps have much to do with my problem. Now I got a 12543 code and my boost will not go above 7-9 psi. On the 12-17 map I got max ~9 psi and on 3-30 map i got max 7 psi. Below are 2 data logs. I am uncertain how to read them but you can see the code being thrown and the boost and slow build up of boost.

Code 12543 is "exhaust fume turbocharger low side"

Could this be problem with my Forge DV? Could it be a boost leak related to recent install of FMIC and CP? If it were that I would expect a quick fix by tightening some clamps or maybe small hole in welding area of driverside FMIC. However, that does not explain my slow boost build up that was ocurring prior to FMIC & CP install. Any ideas on causes of slow boost build up and my apparent boost leak? Your help is much appreciated!!

Just go back to the 12-17 maps and reset the procede in the user software as well as in the command center from 11 to 1...Also clear the codes...I also had this issue with the newer maps and I would not boost more than 10 psi...Went back to the 12-17 maps and cleared what I stated above and everything is peachy again!
It looks as though you have one of the newer DME and IMO it seems to have issues with the new DIC maps...Everytime I go to the DIC beta maps my boost goes erratic and my wastegates are jerking back and forth like a high priced hooker doing a handjob! lol
If its not the maps and firmware and you eliminated this variable, then you have a serious BOOST leak and I would think its your modified FMIC...You need to check both

You either have a boost leak and or mismatched firmware.

Make sure your firmware coincides with the maps. I believe 3-30 Maps end with PRo....102

***

All else fails try a non beta firmware and map AKA 12-17

Thanks for the input so far. I did go to the 12-17 map and had the same problem. See the first datalog,...that is 12-17 map throwing the 12111 code. The second data log is the 3-30 DIC map throwing the 12543 code. I do have the appropriate firmware that came with the 3-30-DIC beta map. Yes, I do have the latest software for the 335 as it was updated when I went in for HPFP replacement last month. I suspected the DIC map was partly to blame but why would it do it on the 12-17 map as well?

Car is a bit hot now after datalogs so will wait for it to cool off and check my Forge DV. I think I'll make sure everything is greased up and moving well and make sure the DV didn't pop off partly. If that doesn't work I will take it in for a boost leak test at the shop that put in the FMIC. But what to do about the V5,...which map should I run?

Damn this sucks,...and of course wife is not much help when she gets mad at me for not doing the "honey do.." list and instead focusing on my car.

So its likely a leak at the FMIC, DV, or charge pipe connections.

Leave it on map 0 till its resolved.

Thanks for input. I will leave it on Map 0 until resolved. I did service and regrease all moving parts of the Forge DV today and they did seem to be sticking a bit. I doubt that was the main culprit as I was looking at every connection I could think of and I saw this.... It looks like the driverside intake piping connection on the ER FMIC came loose and it is leaking from there. They use silicone couplers and it seems to have slipped off. Plan on taking it to the shop so they can tidy it up tomorrow and make sure they do a boost leak test before I go. That should be all it is. I am only able to make ~6.5 psi on WOT so I think that has to be it. Dont you think?

These pics are looking down toward IC from top of engine bay.

No. If I remeber correctly I was in map 1. I always used map 1 unless there was a good reason. But truthfully this was ~ 1 year ago so had to remember.

I was getting the low boost code in map 1 and not in map 0. Im still able to get 12-15 psi in map 1. I usually get the fault under normal acceleration at 5-7 psi. Just wanted to narrow down the trouble shooting. I replaced the vacuum lines and checked the DVs. I'll check the intercooler connections next.

Yeah good idea. Mine was loose at the intercooler connection with the pipe going UP to the charge pipe.
