Cobb AP Install on 2008 335i
Hey guys i have been a long time lurker bought my first 335i 2 months ago with 26k miles on it.
I took it in for the HPFP recall, software update and 5 injectors replaced last week. Yesterday I ordered my COBB AP and today it came in the mail!!! I installed the 93 map as I am running 94 octane fuel and all I can say is WOW Although I couldn't drive the car much today I took it for a spin and this has transformed the car what a difference. If you guys wouldn't mind could you please tell me what to log via the AP that I can post up here so you guys can check my logs to make sure everything looks good. It sure does feel good. This is my first mod and i think I have gotten the bug I am sure there will be many more mods for me. I am now thinking about getting an intercooler next. I would like one that is easy too install. I have the factory oil cooler installed. Would I benefit from a DC Intake I see mixed reviews on the forum that the factory one is better or an insert or a Mr 5 intake. Thanks Guys |

nice to see you didnt get a unknown rom issue. i also have a 08 335i but mines a e93. i got my cobb ap yesterday and still havent installed it, i dont know why lol.but i will be soon. as far as a easy to install fmic, i believe the HPF FMIC is the easy to install/uninstall if you get the one with the quick disconnects. i have the hpf fmic with quick disconnects that hasnt been installed yet.

Congrats.
The ets 5" is the easiest install - no cutting, simple, most of all, very effective. I did a log from 0 to 140 this week when it was 86 deg and there were no timing drops whatsoever. Car runs great. Skip the dci. It's not worth anything and is actually less effective when compared to the stick airbox with stick filter at Cobb stage 1 boost. Get a drop in. Good lookin out. |

Congrats man, hope you're enjoying it
Whatever you want to log is selected by default, so just log and post the data (rpm, boost, afr, TPS, timing)

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the COBB AP stage 1 tune and this does seem to be the general consensus among the community. Feel free to drop me a PM if any of you have any questions about the tune in general and I'll be more than happy to help out!
