CBS not counting down...

I had my oil changed under the serivce plan 7k miles ago. I checked my CBS for oil, and it still says 15k miles to the next service. Why is not counting down the mileage ??

Maybe your service interval wasn't set properly when it was reset last time. You could take it to the dealer and have them check it out to be sure.

The mileage only changes at the thousandth mile. So when you cross 8000 now it will decrease a 1000 miles til your next service. It doesn't decrease by the mile. Found it strange as well. When I was at 16000, it showed 13000 til next service. This morning I turned 17000 and now it shows 12000 til the service.

The OP stated his oil was changed 7000 miles ago and still hasn't changed.
