DIY: Parrot Bluetooth car kit installation with Steering adaptor
Part I – Head Unit removal.
To remove the head unit (non-idrive), follow these instructions: To take out the head unit, you will have to remove the element with the heater and a/c controls in it first, this is fastened with two clips on the sides: 1. Take an old Flat plastic tool(cooking pry) in a 60 degrees angle on left side. Do the same on the right side 2. The a/c control unit should move forward a bit. Repeat step 3 for both left and right side - you should now be able to pull the a/c controls forward. 3. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws beneath the head unit and pull the it forward. Where the panel came from (screws of head unit are visible) Last edited by bmviz; 04-21-2007 at 11:39 PM.. |

I have an e90 335i with logic 7 and i have a parrot ck3100, with a parrot multican steering wheel adapter working PERFECTLY. The ck3100 was installed by the bmw dealer prior to me taking delivery of the car in April 07. I installed the multican myself just last month. (they did not use a connects2 adapter) |

with the correct iso connector,(im thinking about the ck3000)is it simply a case of connecting it all together,or do the cars wires have to be cut,at any stage.i have pro nav also,so does that mean the instalation will be different.

i have the ck3100... wish i woulda gotten the 3000 cuz its small enough to mount in the ashtray with some molding clay. couldn't get the 3100 in there.
anyone have any good spots to remount where its not out in the open? mine is right above the hazard light button on the black trim using 3m velcro (like from an ipass/ezpass) similar to this. |

I thought with the steering wheel adaptor there's no need to have the ck3000 showing...i'm trying to have this be as close to OEM as possible. Can someone please let me know if; with the steering wheel adaptor to allow control with via the buttons on the wheel, there is a need to have the small parrot control switch showing as almost all of the above posts show?
