Leather cleaning and conditioning
How often do you clean and condition your leather seats? How soon did you condition your seats after picking up your E90?
What parts of the seat are leather? Is the armrest, e-brake handle, steering wheel leather? |

I conditioned my leather (with Lexol) about a month after getting my car. Plan ondoing it monthly along with vacuuming. Cleaning should be done quaterly. I believe the armrest and part of the door panel are leather, as well as the steering wheel and break handle.

I only clean my leather when it needs it, or if it been awhile I usually clean in at the beginning and end of the winter. But I try and condition it every other month.

I would use Lexol products.....They are the best. (IMO)
I agree with ga-bmwdrvr. Everything is leather clean-able so long as that's what you ordered |

I like Lexol, but there are much finer leather conditioners out there. Tattersol is made for tack equipment (horse stuff). It is by far the best leather product i have ever found for leather. It keeps the leather in brand new condition, and helps to keep that leather smell in the car. As for the leatherette, Meguiars, Mothers, lexol, etc are all fine choices. just make sure they have UV inhibitors in them.

I use Zaino to clean and condition leather. It works great! Do you really have to condition every month? Seems excessive

Some people would say 6 coats of Zaino on the paint is excessive, but it looks good and protects. (I only have 2 coats of Mothers Synwax FX on my car by the way) |

Leatherique products work great. My leather is much softer after using the products. Very time consuming and quite expensive, but well worth it if you are going to keep the car any length of time.
