mirror problems n e one?

Just recently my drivers side mirror is not tilting down when i put it in reverse. the passenger side is good though. Does anybody know how i can fix this.

lol, but I think the pass mirror does go bad and stops tilting or returning to the correct position...

This is true. When I was in for the fuel pump recall, I had my SA take a look at it because it was doing exactly what you described...Found out a mooch was hitching a free ride the whole time! Tech said there were spider webs inside the unit (along w/ a little spider) that was touching the circuit board or whatever.

No spiderwebs or freeloaders ftw!

only the passenger side tilts down, if it dosnt tilt jus adjust the mirror abit on the up side should work perfectly!!!

Both mirrors can tilt when reversing, but only one at a time. You can select which side tilts using the toggle switch below the 4 way mirror adjustment button.

on the switch, set to the left, the right mirror tilts down when reversing.
set to the right, the mirrors do nothing when reversing.
this is operating as the manual describes.

on my fathers lexus, both mirrors tilt down
