Is today's recall notice anything new?

Or is it the same recall that's been on since ABC News aired last Oct.?

My car has been at the dealership 3X from Aug to Dec and it doesn't need anything, so is the notice I rec'd in the mail today not applicable?

My car has been running fine since April '10, I'd prefer they don't start messing around with things....

Gee, is the coupon I got in the mail today the same as the one I got last week?

How do you expect us to know since we have no clue what you got in the mail today?

Maybe you should tell us what you got today.

Sheesh. We're good but we are not mindreaders.

Gettin' enough? Feb 2011 HPFP LPFP, the same as last Oct. '10, only dated February 2011. You should get out more often, though it's only Mon. Thu. nites are usually rockin.

John where do you even get that he is in "need" of anything?

Your notice is probably just that,...teling you to come in for your HPFP recall. BMW was going to inform everyone with involved cars at their own pace so as to not overwhelm the dealers. Obviously, if you already got it then you are not in "need" of anything.... (Pun intended...)

my car was at the dealer twice in january - got a software update for the HPFP.

Took my car in two days ago and they said "oh - now we need to replace your fuel injectors and the pump for the recall".

Still don't have my car back... after they replaced the injectors and pump, the car refused to start. Not too happy right now. Original HPFP and injectors had no issues for the first 45K miles.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of...no issues since PUMA case in 4/10, don't want them messing around. The dealerships are much less competent than we give them credit for....
