For Nivedh
I finally did some cosmetic modifications, first of several to come.
The matte black grill was definitely required and matte black side grills are on their way as well painted reflectors. Tint is coming also but I am not sure after that. For the first time I am not considering powertrain modifications but looking at cosmetic. And Walter, when are we going to hit the trails? It is warming up nicely and we should plan on it. Awesome! Now I'm satisfied. I still need to see the beast in person.

Yes, definitely, if I ever get my car back with everything fixed.
I might have to solicit some legal advice from Henry due to the way things are playing out. |

If the test plan says that the driving profile is unfavorable, then they can't replace it under warranty. I was hoping that my regular use of a trickle charger would offset the fact that the driving profile is unfavorable because that's what the manual recommends if the car isn't driven regularly. So now I'm being punished for following the recommendations in the manual. Also, my driving profile isn't actually unfavorable... the dealership's driving of my car is unfavorable with them driving it 10 feet at a time through the service lane and then on and off the lifts. The car has been at the dealer for almost a month now (the driving profile calculates it for the past few weeks). I really don't want to pay $390 for a new battery. It just doesn't sit well with me when the documentation states "additional items that need replacement due to normal wear and tear, and that are not covered by the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty are included" because it makes me feel like they're trying to weasel their way out of it. |

Sorry to hear all the problems. Seems Steve had the right idea getting out of the 335 when he did!! Installed my DP's today, but after the first pull on the dyno my clutch started slipping, so back in tomorrow for a new ACT clutch
Nivedh what dealer are you going to?

I'd keep after them. If you get stuck having to buy another battery, I plan to convert to a lightweight setup, I'll sell you my stocker, assuming 1's and 3's use the same battery.

Thanks Henry, that helps. I'll see what happens in the next few days.
Edit: United said they can't cover it but offered a discount on the battery + labor for a grand total of $312. I talked to David and he said Global will goodwill me a battery but I'll have to pay for labor ($120) so I think I'm just going to go that route. Last edited by NiVeDh; 02-17-2011 at 05:29 PM.. |

Painted reflectors installed, no pictures but it does look better. The matte side grills should be in on Friday...
I am over near Greenville, SC right now and will be heading back late morning after meetings. I am planning on taking the northern route if anyone wants to hit the mountains. |

Love those mods, looks awesome
A friend of mine hit up some mountain roads this past weekend with his Lamborghini friends, and I'm pretty sure it's the same route we were trying to take last month. He said there were a ton of small rocks and pebbles and crap all over the roads. Just a heads up

It is truly sad that a 370Z had to pull off to let a Honda Odessey by on the mountain roads. |

I just got back and the drive through North Geogia was pretty nice. I made my way over to Cleveland, GA and then out Hwy 129 to 19, then on 60 to Blue Ridge. I don't recall ever driving Hwy 60 but it is pretty nice. But unfortunately I had to reign it in some as there was considerable gravel on the road causing me to get a little out of shape a couple of times so I slowed up some. It is about 30 miles of tight turns with an elevation change of about 1500 feet. The highest I saw on the Nav was 2800 feet. A definite must to drive. I got behind some slow moving traffic out site seeing but they all pulled off when a spot was available.
