Top of Dash removal

Hi All

I have a rattle that I just can't get to. , I removed the center speaker grill and the speaker mount and it still continues, its driving me mental.

Has anyone attempted to remove the Dash top ? Im referring to the rubbery feeling material that runs from our Windscreen to the dash facia.

Thanks in advance

Dylan

Forget about that man; you'd incorporate even more rattles after you were done... if you could do it, to begin with.
The best alternative IMO would be to remove (or pull out) the instrument cluster and try to find what's rattling/creaking from there. Doing the same with the iDrive screen should allow you to find the culprit. Another alternative would be from under the dash, but I doubt there would be enough space to stick your hands all the way to the top of the dash.

I also want to tackle that job, so if you do it first, please let us know what you found, and how you removed both items. Good luck man. And yes, it's ridiculous to have that many freaking rattles on a car that expensive. Never expected it to be that noisy and that badly assembled. Oh well. Take care.
