While I really do respect HPF, I really think this is vapor ware. They have other projects that clearly are higher priority. If you want to upgrade, there are much more timely options available.

by the time HPF comes out with a kit, I probably won't be in a bmw or on this forum anymore (2+ years I think), so i've given up on them..

looks like AR may have the first BT kit out. isn't ETS working on something as well? those will surely be available before the HPF kit.

Nothing...they'll get on it once they see a business opportunity for it...who's ready to shell out 20-35K for their kit with a car they might be leasing or just recently got on finance and still have warranty...I'm sure there would be a few people for sure but not enough to warrant their investment into it at this point...once N54 is close to the end of production they "might" get into it but I really think they'll just go after the S65 (current M3)...

Wow, THAT much? Plus supporting mods (clutch, half shafts, FMIC, intake, exhaust, etc), you're looking at the cost of a new car. How much would one spend on everything once everything is said and done? I can see why they definitely need a business justification to put R&D into the kit.

I just blurted out a number based on their current pricing models...you get everything required in their kits but yeah a new clutch and upgraded axles would need to be there as additional items for sure...fmic, intake, exhaust would be included...take a look at their site and their current E46 kits/pricing and you should have a better idea of what's provided

So far, there have been a number of people pos(t)ing about their single turbo upgrades/kits, but they all go dark when they try to push above 500WHP on pump gas. There is also a restriction in the intercooler piping, so that would have to be addressed as well.

That's apparently where the stock fuel system hits its limit. I also wouldn't want to try running nearly 2 bars of boost without full control of fuel and ignition timing, which is another obstacle for some approaches.

Once we get a viable single turbo running and reliably tuned, let's hope they use a good turbo so the torque curve doesn't look like a ski slope!

I'm sure HPF could get this done, but their gear is $$$ and who knows when that will happen.

AR is talking a good game and maybe they'll deliver, but they went quiet and started being snippy when people challenged them on their dyno 'correction'. In other words, they hit the fuel limit too. I honestly hope they drop an accurately-measured 600WHP dyno with a nice torque curve on the group.

I've also heard the ETS rumor. If it is true, they are certainly up to the task solving the fuel and intercooler restriction piping problems.

So, at the moment my money is on ETS delivering a viable single turbo kit w/o voodoo dyno tweaks.

I think HPF is finding if difficult to spend time developing for the e90 because their M3 turbo business seemed to explode with demand in the last 2 years and may be comsuming all their talent and resources currently. I just don't think they have the resources available at this time to complete the E90 upgrade kit. It is definatley on their agenda though

It's definitely on their agenda, they have a 335 engine currently dropped in their shop and are in only the design phase.. we should expect to hear some progress next summer, so it's still a ways out.. hopeful by next December it may be in production..

You kidding? Exhaust, turbo kit...

They've been working on their charge pipe kit since April.... How hard can it be?

Would you like a little cheese with that whine ?

Prove otherwise or STFU.

In the meantime, (1) I don't post about your turbo project in every thread...I don't care about it that much and (2) you will also notice that I have been posting that I hope it works out for you.

I have nothing against you, your products, or your company. So, if you wish to act like a petulant child, that's on you not on me.
