I have the original AR catted DP's that came with magnaflow 300 cel high flow cats. They prevented codes for a little over a year. As they get older their efficiency wears, and I got a CEL. I now need to run a mild simulator (Proceed o2 modifier setting at 80%) to avoid throwing a code.

Just keep in mind, you might not throw a CEL right away, but later on it may be an issue.

Yeah I have the procede, but I disabled the o2 sim wiring functionality and relocated the o2 sensors to behind the cats. I want to upgrade the exhaust and include high flow cats, but it sounds like if I do I will need to rely on the CAN code delete functionality. Not sure if that is adequate for NC inspections or not.

I guess I could always switch the wiring back if it were absolutely necessary.

Guys i am moving the after cats sensors behind a set of 100 cell cats installed in the midpipes. Running of course the procede with harness updated so its straight pure oem signal going through. Will report back if it works with no codes thrown and can clear off.

It's my understanding that the 100 cell cats don't alter the o2 signal enough to keep it from throwing a code without the can clear, or some type of signal modifier. If you leave the can clear on of course you shouldn't see a code.

I always understood that canclear while keeping the CEL light off (for cars with software versions later than 2007) will not allow ODBII readiness, meaning you will fail at the inspection station if they do not see readiness in the system.

i read not long ago a guy that moved them with 200 Cell and no codes at all. I should pass emissions test with 100 cell and maybe also no lights with can clear off. Will report back. I cannot put 200 cell on my car, pushing too much power now.

Great! When do you think you will have this done?
