Can't get traction at all

Running jb3 on map 3 without the DCI at the moment.

Seems like if I don't feather my throttle I lose traction very easily, I've been seeing a lightshow in my dash as of late.

I'm guessing it has a bit to do with the really cold temps outside and having summer tires on?

Anyone with winter tires notice a difference in traction in just cold temps but no snow or ice on the ground?

Almost brand new, just a couple months, barely put any mileage on them.

My guess was it has to do with the temps outside?

When temps are cold I can spin second easily and DTC kick in on 3 sometimes....Runflats and cold weather equals no traction whatsover if your fully modded...LSD is a good deterent!

I have very limited traction with my snows in cold weather. They are definately a must if there is ANY snow on the ground. I can't wait for my LSD to be delievered!

That's because summer rubbers turn into hockey pucks around 40 degrees.

Do yourself a favor and put some winters on your car or you will end up in a ditch.

Yeah, I've been noticing that my Goodyear F1s were getting much more slippery in the cold temps. That soft rubber in the summer gets very hard in the cold weather and traction goes down considerably - enough so that you have to be very careful. I just put my snows on and it made a huge difference...

It has a lot to do with that. Winter performance tires will get you much better traction in the cold.

Why neuter your cars performance in the winter time with the wrong tires?

I didn't buy my car to have it sit 3-4 months out of the year. I like to drive in all types of weather.

Ummm, if you drove a vette or any other performance rwd car would you complain? No, you would just know that you made too much power to be able to put it to the ground. High hp is unusable in cold weather. Use the stock map till it gets warmer. Problem solved.

??

The guy has summer tires on. Most summer tires are rock solid at anything below 40 degrees. A civic would't get traction with summer tires in the winter. The guy just needs the correct tires.
