Advice - Clutch is slipping, but still under warranty
I was driving into work today, and my clutch started slipping real bad. I have a 2007 335i, with downpipes, procede and an intercooler. Should I pay to have the downpipes removed, and reinstalled, so I can get BMW to replace the clutch under warranty? Total cost about $600. Or should I spring for an ACT clutch and pay for the install out of my pocket, total cost would be about $1,200-1,400.
The cost difference is obvious, but I'm planning on adding Meth in the next couple months, and I don't really want to be in this situation again in 10,000-15,000 miles. So I guess the real question is how long should I expect a new OEM clutch to last with METH? |

I'm in the same situation and am having my clutch done tomorrow - I got the ACT street clutch. I'm getting mine done for 1100 bucks including clutch and labor. Just upgrade... stock clutch wont last.
