Thumbs down It's Stupid! No active cruise control for 535i or 535ix in Canada!

I have no idea what BMW Canada was thinking when they made active cruise control only available on the 550 models . I am even more frustrated to find out that the advance collision warning system is only available with the ACC.

Why would they limit such an important safety feature?

In my country ACC (Collision warning with braking function is not a standalone option), Parking assistant, Speed-limit info, Active Blind Spot Detection are not available due to region restrictions regardless of the f10 model (it`s not similar to AD availability which is an option only on 535\50i and 530\35d), not mentioning BMW Assist`s features :<

It's still available, on the 550i. I'm complaining BMW canada didnt make this option available on the 535. Its an extra $2500 which I would've paid.

Well, buck up and pay for the extra two pots, and then you can have what you want.*

* And so can BMW NA marketing, who apparently feel that the V-8 needs a bit of lipstick.

They may be trying to give users more incentive to upgrade to 550i; or they believe that there aren't that many 535i buyers who would opt for this option. It's hard to argue as they have the sales data, we don't. For example, I like the F11 wagon, but there just aren't enough wagon buyers in north america.

They do this to 528i too, it is missing quite a few options, and you have to upgrade to 535i to get them.
