JB4: 60-130 MPH (Boost = Gas Gauge, IAT = Oil Gauge)

This was on 99 octane gasoline.

60-130 in about 9.5 seconds.

(And I just realized yesterday I don't have an o-ring on my ER Chargepipe lol)

Mods: JB4 Map 7, Macht Snell Downpipes, Injen DCI, Code 3 Intercooler, ER Chargepipe, Synapse BOV

I know you can't see when 60MPH starts because of the glare, but you can look at the RPM to realize 60MPH = 4250 RPM in 3rd gear. (Pic below)

~10 seconds, not too bad. I expected it to be a bit quicker.

9.5 on my stop watch, and i know i can do better if i focus on shifting only an on a

9.5 seconds actually :P

I know I can improve that time too, if I focus on shifting at right time and drive on a better Road. Hard to shift at the precise time while holding a camera in one hand and steering too.

All in all only about half a second behind hotrods record 8.9
I need to get a vbox..

Oh, well anything in the 9's is defiantly not bad! Post another video when you try again. 8.9 would be crazy, hotrod has all kinds of crazy records.

I will, I ran out of race gas yesterday, and when I went to refill at the gas station (pump) was out too

Looks good. Just remember that the fast you go, the higher the speedometer error is. So if it is indicating 130mph, you may any be going ~125mph. So, as you said, vbox is needed.

Shiv what is your best 60-130 time? Without meth, if you have it recorded. Not trying to start a tuner war. No one needs to say which is the better tune on this thread, they both have their pros and cons.

lol... I don't know. I rarely go that fast on the street. And when I do that fast on the track, I rely on the radar timing system. I may pick up a vbox soon since the track is about to close for the winter.

Definitely get a vbox. Speedometer error can vary depending on your tires. But with stock tire setup, it will normally read faster than you are going. Plus with the Vbox, once you submit the files, they verify that it was a flat enough road slope and you can post on 6speedonline if you want. I think I might be on that list twice including the 6.95 sec run.

Also, what is map #7 on the G4? I have just been using 5, and then this morning map #2. FYI...on a totally stock car except for tune and DCI, 91 octane, my 60-130 VBox time this morning was 13.2 sec. So 9.9 would be an excellent time.

That 6.95 run with nos was crazy. 13.2 is a very respectable time for a 335d!

Is it really that big of a difference?

Im running a 265/35/18 rear tire, thats a 25.3 inch circumfrance.

25.3 inch tire circumfrance
Final Drive 3.46
3th gear ratio: 1.52

Enter all these values into this calculator:

http://www.wallaceracing.com/gear-speed.php

The calculator says 3rd gear = 78.7 MPH @ 5500RPM

Lines up perfectly with this screen cap I just took.

Terry said Map #7 is similar to Map # 8 on JB3 2.0. Boost is set to 16.5 PSI (not including the shift spikes obviously)

No...not the diesel..lol. I wish it could do that. But that is exactly where the diesel would be out of its element.

In order to do a 13.2 60-130 this morning, I was trapping 112.7mph
DCI/Tune/91 Octane. Fully stock RFT 335i sedan.

I was looking at my records...in order to do a 10.9 sec 60-130mph, I was trapping 118.7mph

So to be doing a 9.9 sec 60-130...I think your car would need to trap at least 120mph in the qtr mile...so it would be a pretty strong running car.

I would try re-testing with a VBOX or something a little more accurate, but your car is pulling strong regardless!
