Angry No heat from rear vents

I am not able to get any heat from the back seat console vents. I do not have the rear automatic climate control.

When you look at the rear console all I have are 2 wheels which to adjust air flow.

How do I get heat to the rear vents?

Thanks.

That's funny I just noticed that the other day. Cold air was coming out from the rear while I had the heat on in the front.

Same here, only cold air comes from rear vents now during winter time. Hot air comes only from vents in floor level which are below seats.

I haven't received my 535xi yet but my current 335xi has 2 wheels for the back console vents - one adjusts the temperature (blue and red dots) and the other adjusts the air flow (1 and 0).

On my F10 there are two wheels but they only adjust the volume of air flow.

Page 129 of the on-line owners manual for the 5 series talks about the air-flow and temperature adjustment thumb wheels as I mentioned previously that my 335 has, however there is an asterik beside the temperature control description (which means it optional). I sure hope that BMW hasn't cheaped out and dropped the control unless you ordered the 4 zone climate control (which in Canada you cannot get with 528 and 535 sedans).

It is another thread on this in here, but it seems like this is exactly what they did. In Europe you can get the 4 zone with any engine though. Considering your climate it was a very bad idea to drop this option in Canada.

I do not have the 4-zone package, but something in between ("extended"), that includes auto recycle in tunnels++

I checked today, and we have around minus 7, and the hot/cold wheel in the middle to max warm air both in front and in the back.

I have warm air in the rear vents, but it takes some minutes before it get warm, for some reason. May be to save fuel, and wait until the engine heats up?

I noticed too today (outside temp -20C) that actually warm air will come from the rear vent finally, but indeed it takes much more time. Front vents will start to give warm air almost immediately (only after 2-3 mins after cold start -20C) .

Same issue.

BMW service increased airflow, so now I get hurricane-gust wind from front and barely usable in rear.

Just checked this morning. I had hot air coming from rear vents. Not sure how quickly though, as I checked after 15 mins of driving. I have webasto in my car, but don't think it matters.
