Need some tips on reinstalling trim!

I can't reinstall the center trim (non-iDrive), the right side seems to be clipping in but the drivers side still have a huge gap. I can't seem to push it in. What should I be doing??

Insert the trim under the radio first, making sure there are no wires or anything in the way. Then just force it down.

The clips around the stick shift broke on my car and if it is not replaced properly, it prevents the trim from sitting flush.

Doubt you bent anything....all the pieces are plastic.

I think that gap is normal....if the trim is sitting flush then I think you're fine.

Maybe a picture would help?

My bad, I meant to add the gap is on the drivers side. The last pic shows it pretty well.
