Do you plan to modify your car?

Hi folk,

I'd like to know whether anyone here plans to mod. his or her car?

I myself do.........Hartge is my choice........ :rocks:

I almost got everything except the CLASSIC 2 wheel set and CF casing side mirror which are on the way to my Hartge dealer.

Wanna hear from you guys?

Hi,

I already got CF lips and rear spoiler.

I've place order for the carbon fiber casing side mirrors and ALu. leather gear knob....
Hartge springs are at the dealer..... :rocks:
The Hartge pedal set and footrest are at my place..... :rocks: :rocks:
The CLASSIC 2 wheel set is on the way to Thailand.... :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:
But I have to skip the CF trims cos they are way too pricey......

Most parts are ready to install but I'd like to wait for the wheel set to come so I could dress my car up within a week.....

Oh! the tint........HUPER OPTIK is my choice...... :rocks:

It might take a couple of months to get them all done.....

I will post the before & after when it's done....

Hi,

I'll give u a rough specs. for E90 that BMW THAILAND offers....

I paid $57,142 for 320i which comes with

- Halogen headlight....I think it looks meaner than Bi-Xenon
- 154 style wheel set....sucks
- Metallic Paint.....SG with no charges.... :rocks:
- Standard seats...Dakota leather......Lemon Dakota with no charges :rocks:
- Standard steering wheel....non-Multi functional....I'm ok with it
- Profesional stereo system.....fantastic sound quality
- Standard suspension.......
- Manual foding side mirrors....who needs it? may be someone but not me
- 6-speed steptronic......
- Split armrest....
- Brushed Aluninum trims...I love the sporty look
- Black window trims.....
- No I-drive......
- Cupholders for driver and passenger seats......
- Electric window blind for rear windshield.....

For 320ise, it comes with above specs. plus Bi-Xenon headlight, Parksonic, Electric folding side mirrors, 156 style wheel set, Wood trims, Foglamps, Cruise control, Multi-function steering wheels..........with $7,142 more (300,000 bht.)

These are all I can think of right now.......

I choose 320i cos I know I will modify it later on.........I regret for the Bi-xenon and foglamps.....The rest of the specs. are just fine....

Oh! I have ordered Lemon leather also.....in HK, they will not charge any extra also for lemon.
Yes, style 154 doesn't look good. What rims are you going to replace then?

Hi Kevin,

I just changed my mind from Hartge Classic 2 to Classic 1...........I just made a deposit for a set of them.........$3,500 for a set of Hartge Classic 1 with Dunlop tires set 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear

What do you guys think?

Woddy,
Oh, 19"..., should look really nice. But have you considered the impact to performance? Mine is also 320i and I am considering to upgrade my style 156 to bigger sizer, say 17" or 18". But I am worring the impact on rolling resistance to move the car from still, what do you think? What is your comment on the power of your current 320i? I know it cannot be compared to 325/330 anyway, since it is not apple to apple comparsion anyone.

Hi Kevin,

What a great choice you choose... :rocks:

The issue you brought up is very interesting......

The reason why i choose 19" instead of 18" is because the arch of the e90 is quite huge.... I think the 19" would fill up those arches....
I just went to the wheel shop to compare the size of the rims.......19" looks a lot nicer than 18".......I ordered a spring set of Hartge to lower it down.....It's only 25mm down.......

My last car I went from 14" to 16"......+3 is quite radical for me but I thought since BMW offers us a 19" OEM wheel set.....It shouldn't do no harm to the car......Just my opinion.

As for the car performance, I think you are right about it.......

I think I have to compensate the ride smoothness and car performance for better handling and look.....

For the pix of Classic 1 and 2 wheel.........You can find a nice pixs from www.Hartge.de under wheels catergory
