CPO Inspection Checklist

In the final stages of buying a CPO'd car and am going over the checklist.

Some of the items don't make sens eto me and am hoping that somebody out there has alreday looked at these items in detail and can help me understand the numbers.

Specifically:

Vehicle Background and info:

Brakes - service is due in: X miles. For mine, it says 62,139 for the front brakes and 21, 749 for the rear. How can they come up with these numbers?

Wheel assembly:

Tire tread: Inside (4.5 mm) center (4.7 mm) outside (4.7 mm) - front tire

rear tire - Inside (2.7 mm) center (3 mm) outside (3 mm)

Rotors: condition 29.51, 21.42, 21.44, 29.49...what do these nnumbers mean and what is acceptable?

Pads: 9-11 mm left...also, what is good here?

Thanks!

Well brakes are done on a schedule, so that's how many more miles until they need to be serviced again??

How can they be that accurate or is it perhaps just a computer output? And, brakes lasting 62,000+ miles? Must be an error.

I'm on original brakes at 70k miles. No error here, just good driving habits.

I had a quick question as well which might help the OP.

the CBS we have on our Bimmers does the pad life calulate and just GUESSTIMATE how much time is left, but Ultimatly go by the wear indicator sensors?

Cause I was told I have 6mm in front and 8mm in rear but my readout shows fronts to only have 4800 miles left on them and the rears show 35,000 miles left on them.

So something is goofy?

Thanks for ANY help
