Great forum with loads of info and pics

Trying to hunt down a good spec. E90 through my contract hire company, without having to wait months.....not easy!

Up to now I've been "sold" on the idea of the style 162 18" alloys

But I've been offered a car that has a great spec. (lots of bits I'd like but thought I couldn't get!) but it has the style 158 17" alloys.....

Anyone got any pics of what these look like on an actual car as the virtual centre on the BMW website doesn't give a very good idea.

Did you take a look around at all? There are giant threads of pictures of the car in almost every combination of color and wheel package in the Images/Videos section of the forum.

You are right! I've been doing a lot of looking!!! Also downloaded the configurator.

I guess I was just trying to get a quick response - lazy, sorry!

I'm still convinced the 162's are the wheel, but I'm also too impatient to wait for a factory order to my specification....

Trouble is its taken me a few months to get finances and decision on car sorted.....now I just want to get one!!!

Chris, many would disagree with me, but the 162's ARE "the wheel"..Especially when you see them in person (which you probably have)..Nothing fits the E90 like the 162's..the 199 are very nice, dont get me wrong, but the 162's are the dogs bullocks!!

I'm certainly glad to hear that....because I decided to order them based on photos. I've never seen them in person.

From the first time I saw pictures of those wheels, they were my first choice. I've made a lot of changes on my order, but the 162 wheels have never been considered for replacement with another style.

They are the wheels for the E90 as bozo stated. I've seen them and they rock. I was orginally going for the 161s 17" but as soon as I saw pics of the 162s I went for them, and after seeing them in the flesh, there was no going back.

161's are too sporty for such a classy car...The 156's are just butt ugly...Five star rims belong on coupes only IMHO...

Thanks all! In particular, thanks Kchika. Whilst I am with the majority here and favour the 162's, that photo of the 158's in the metal certainly looks alright. If the right car came along with those on I think I'd go for it!

PS Sorry, should have said that having been offered the one mentioned at the start of the thread, when I expressed interest I was then told it had gone.... So back to drawing board.....
