1 Series M Realistic Release Date
Is there any official press release on this? The BMW Dealership I'm working with will let me put money down but has no dates in terms of when I can actually order.
I'm on the fence of ordering a 2011 135i and just waiting for the 1 Series M. |

SCOTT works for BMW marketing. He says Mid 2011. I had my money down for 135i back in early 2007 and didn't order until later in the year. |

Just wait dude you might as well get something sick right out of the box, trust me i'm selling my 135i cause I always was left feeling like I wanted more performance. Of course I should realize not everyone is like me and you may be happy w a 135, but trust me if you want something fast and fun to drive i'd just wait. Granted i never gave my 135 a tune but I didnt want to mess up the warranty. Sure you can buy tools to try to hide the piggyback but seriously who wants to learn software and put that time in to play games with the dealer and hope they don't catch you. At least the 1m should be a serious performer right out of the box.

You might want to do a two-year lease on a 135i first. There so cheap right now. Then, you don't have to play the waiting game. The 11' 135i is a monster, trust me. I don't need another first model year bimmer. My "year of the one" 08' 135 had its share of problems. Enjoy that first and you'll be lined up for a second model year (probably better deal, possibly some early kinks worked out) 1///M.
Please 08' owners don't flame me. That was a very special car. I just like the 11' better

Either way he can experience the 1, just different options . Its really a toss-up, no wrong choice.

I was considering a 1M but there wont be that many of them and the price is probably going to high. I might have a 135 custom painted in that orange though, it's hot.

Aren't we actually looking at a modified N54? If the N54 is capable of 335HP then i would guess once ///M gets to it it should be good for at least 360HP.
I bet its going to be relatively cheap. |

I'm going to guess it'll be somewhat slower than M3 in a straight line, but handle similarly/better due to lower weight and same size tires.
Just like M3 relates to M5/M6. |
