Most important gauges to have displayed?

I'm looking into getting the cigarette lighter triple gauge pod...

I've got a digital boost gauge in the vent already so I don't need that.

I figured high pressure fuel gauge is important...

Then I wasn't sure between dual widebands or a wideband and an oil pressure?

In my Z I have a wideband only on bank 1... (V6 if you were unaware....)

Which outlet is more important to monitor?

Thanks guys

-Kevin

CANbus is changing this incredibly. I would hold off on this stuff until we see where the creativity of the tuners ends.

I guess I should start asking in these threads if anyone knows any of the CAN bus codes for my ScanGauge 2. Unfortunately BMW insists on charging more money for this information than the ScanGauge manufacturer is willing to pay.

adding: To the OP question, I display AIT, water temp and voltage. I would add oil pressure, EGT and possibly fuel pressure if I could figure out how. If I had an adjustable or map-switching tune, I would be interested in boost and AFR.

Thanks guys. I am primarily interested in a n organized system like the Greddy Infometer...

But if I have to party like it's 1999, I'll do it.

A more accurate water temp gauge would be nice but the stock is sufficient... I want to monitor things that I have no way of doing so. First and foremost is fuel pressure.

Then AFR but through both outlets or just one? I'm not familiar with the significance of this in inline engines...

Not sure I understand, but I looked up Greddy Infometer. It looks like it's similar to DashDAQ, which IIRC did pay BMW for the CAN bus codes and has ports for analog inputs anyway. If you or anyone reading this are interested in DashDAQ, here's a link to BMW style graphics for it. http://www.dashdaq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1453

adding: here's a link that shows most of the OBD2 multi-gauges that are available. http://www.obdspy.com/tools/index.php

The DashDAQ unit is indeed a very interesting piece and I would normally just have ordered one... The latest development of the Procede is so promising though that this is the first option also for display and log functions.

Those are nice features of the procede but I'm not trying drive down the road with my blinker lights, water temp, and fuel level gauges doing crazy shit and then decipher it. A nice clean touch LCD that I can adjust to display 10 different parameters is more of what I'm looking for...

And I have JB3 lol
