New car miles!
Wow, just ordered a new 5 series which should arrive the end of august. I asked that the car not be driven before I pick it up. The dealer states:all our cars get test driven around the block when they come off the trailer. When I picked up my 08 3 series it had 3 miles on it which seems normal. Should I have to demand that my new car NOT be test driven? What's the consensus here. Thanks.

I feel the same way. I would say 'Demand' it! But, they do a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) at the dealership to enable certain features that where disabled for shipping and security. So in a way it's ok. You certainly wouldn't want to leave the dealership to soon find yourself doing a U-turn back to the dealership for an issue while on your first drive away.
